Review on πŸ“ž Rechargeable Long Range 2 Pack Walkie Talkies for Adults and Kids by Topsung by Greg Harris

Drop proof for walkie-talkies

Pros: Product was colorful. The clips on the straps are a great idea and adjusting the length was easy and useful. 3 separate gender neutral bright colors meant lots of interest and no fighting between the boys. The ring tones were enough for us to find one that wowed them and wasn't very annoying (because they wanted to press the call button every 5 seconds). For the one walk they all worked on, the range on city trails was at least 0.5 miles. It wasn't difficult to line up the different numbers after reading the manual and identifying the different options. The 3 pin charging cable was PERFECT! Cons: They are NOT drop or shock resistant. The buttons kept toggling objects that needed alignment when hitting children's chests, so adults were often diverted and frustrated by children (5 and 8). They were dropped maybe 2 times on intercity highways or around the house (by little boys so not too far off the ground) before they started to glitter. The battery in one didn't hold a charge. We tried disassembling the battery holder and found that the batteries are slightly smaller and there is some scope for connection issues. But even with conventional batteries, charging was a problem. As soon as the second fell in our door for the last time, it could no longer send or receive any signals or sounds. And one of the 3 still turns on but doesn't respond to any of the interface buttons. We may have gotten a pack of lemons but 2 long walks and about 2 hours around the house aged 5, 8 and 2. The old one doesn't seem to have much durability, requiring something that has to be "drop resistant". As a birthday gift, it promised a lot of aesthetics but didn't live up to its potential.
