I need more USB ports. The M1 mini/air just doesn't have enough, and as I use a few different card readers, a Logitech mouse USB dongle, an external SSD etc, it sometimes gets too crowded to even use 2 at a time. The Charjen Pro Station changes that! I no longer need multiple card readers or worry about the distance between USB ports. The built-in card reader reads and writes a bit faster than my USB devices, nice surprise! The HDMI port handles 4k60 and 1080p144 without hiccups. The device does get warm when using the USB-A, HDMI card reader and Ethernet ports, but this is not uncommon. The legs and vents on the bottom do a pretty good job of keeping things cool. Overall I am very happy with the performance and design of the product. This is exactly what I needed to expand the ports on my m1 Mac mini and add even more versatility to my MacBook Air as well. Have been using it for about 2 weeks now and have no problems or complaints to report.
