The only way when you want to light up a classic can of Jiffy Pop over a real fire. I recently went on a family vacation to a cabin in the mountains and took a whole bunch of cans and this holder and it worked great. The system is incredibly simple: you simply place the can in the round hole where it fits snugly, and then slide the loop up the handle until it "falls" into the indentation. It seems a little unreliable at first, but no strong shake came close to knocking any of the cans off the handle. If you follow the ejection instructions, it looks like it's about to fly off, but trust me, it won't.
