Review on Heritage Lace Paprika Mantle Scarf by Brenda Hobbs

While it is a cute design, I am currently trying to get a return/refund on this overcoat scarf. At 95 inches long, it hangs over either end of my 72-inch mantel, just as I expected. However, the description on the website does not tell customers that the center segment that hangs over the front of the mantel is significantly shorter. In the product photo, the side panels hang very close to either end of the center panel, leaving no gap between them. However, on my mantel, the center segment falls below the corners of my mantel by about 8 inches on each side, which looks nothing like the product photo. I can only assume that the mantel was intended for a mantel about half the size of mine - but again, the description doesn't state that this mantel only works with a significantly smaller mantel. The packaging said it was designed to fit a specific length of mantel, but the packaging also lacked that information. It wasn't until I tried to put it on the mantelpiece that I realized the gaps were too big to be reasonable. I'm not sure what size mantel this suits best, but due to the fact that it's 95 inches long but paired with a very short center section, I doubt it would look balanced even on a smaller mantel, since the side panels will be extremely long compared to the central segment. The product description leaves a lot to be desired. If the package was clearer I would send it back immediately. Unfortunately the packaging was just as vague so I had to open it to find it didn't fit.
