Poor Machining Ruins Otherwise Good Vise

Overview for YEV14: Seemed like a good vise, slightly cheaper than alternatives. It turned out to be poorly made and unusable. So I don't regret buying a more expensive one. The guides are not entirely level and so there are places where the guides will stick as they run along the guide plate, but at least that part is functional. The screw threads are fine, but the vise nut is not directly aligned with the guide plate. This is a big problem and the reason for the 1 star. See photo. So once I tighten the vise, the vise can't move out because it's trying to shoot the chop into the bench. Hopefully this is an isolated issue but these are the only Yost vises I have purchased. I tried contacting support through YostVises.com but received no response. I think it would be workable with a properly machined vise nut. I will update the information if customer support helps resolve the issue. Update: This update is coming out late, but I was able to contact Yost support through Facebook and they responded quickly through this channel. Jost sent me a brand new vise which I haven't had time to install yet, but the new vise nut is square which fixes a major issue I had installing it. 4 stars for great customer service and a great value vise.
