I bought this food processor to make dog food for our little Shih Tzu while he was living in our second home. It works so well for this purpose that I didn't lug it home at the end of the season, but bought a second one to use in our regular home. I like that it has a glass bowl. It is very durable and easy to clean. I also like that you remove the motor to get to the food. That way you can't accidentally turn it on while accessing groceries. I think this is a good security feature. The blades are very sharp, be careful. It mixes lightly cooked ground beef and I can get a consistency my 14 year old toothless Shih Tzu can easily eat. Ideal! It comes with a rubberized ring that fits the bottom of the glass bowl to keep it from sliding around the counter during use, which is very helpful. However, when stored, the same rubberized ring prevents it from easily sliding forward over the shelf. Luckily this ring is very easy to remove and I let it drape over the motor while it's stored on the shelf. As such, it easily slides over the shelf for better access. Overall this is a well thought out design and I recommend it if you need to blend foods that a blender may not be able to handle such as: B. Meat.
