Starts your gears.

Gears! Transmission! Gears!ยฎ Machines in Motion is a great instructional or creative toy/exercise. I ordered this set for my 5 year old daughter who loves Lego, building and almost all vehicles and she loves it. I believe it has around 116 parts and comes with a booklet with instructions on how to build specific moving vehicles and equipment. My daughter loves to show that she can follow the building instructions so this was the first thing she wanted to do with the set. All instructions are pictures which is nice but a little confusing/overwhelming for a 5 year old; It's just too much on one page and could be done differently to make it easier for younger children to follow. This is the only reason I gave the product 4 stars; otherwise it's a great toy. After she finished building her first piece, she used the leftover parts to build her own little imaginary helicopters, which she loves, using the instructions and with a little help from her father. The product is well made and comes with enough parts to make some pretty cool stuff. The part moves easily and works with other gears. I wish there were more rubber bands in the kit as they are cheap and I expect over time they will start to break and we'll have to find replacements somehow. But now that's a lot of fun and creativity in one box!
