Difficult to clean, didn't quite live up to my expectations

I've been on a keto diet for about a year and a half so I was happy to get this unit for a serving of easier cooking. me, especially since the rest of my family doesn't follow the same eating habits as me. Pros: I love that it comes with interchangeable plates so it can easily go from sandwich maker to waffle maker in minutes. seconds. It's what I would call semi-compact, so it's quite small, but a bit bigger and heavier than I'd prefer. Cons: It's not exactly easy to clean, especially given the design of the interchangeable plates. I make a lot of cheese-based recipes, so it can get oily, and I've found the oil seeps into so many cracks and crevices that it's almost impossible to completely peel it off. The power button is in an awkward position, making it difficult to turn off when the device is very hot. For a sandwich press, it is only suitable for very thin sandwiches. The other day I tried to melt tuna in it, and the pressure of pressing the lid down (on a not-so-thick sandwich, mind you) squeezed all the liquid left in the tuna into the sandwich sheets, making the bread soggy. Finally, after cleaning several times, there is still a very unpleasant odor that arises when the device heats up. wanted to use it for that.
