I never thought I would ever need a floor lamp instruction manual but the amazing performance of this lamp deserves one. (Don't worry, it's small and short—too short actually.) At 120 volts AC, this lamp draws a maximum of 11-12 watts. I wish they hadn't said how many lumens it puts out in return and wondered why they don't say it's pretty impressively bright, I was guessing at 1000 lumens max. Brightness. I finally asked NXONE, they answered very quickly and beautifully 1200 lumens. That's a really good answer in my opinion, almost the maximum lumens you can practically get from a lamp of this type with an input power of 12 watts. Significantly less lumens will be reported and they will waste energy, significantly more and they will probably lie. So 1200 lumens is a really good answer. Obviously, this is the most important information about this product that they should include in their product description! (By the way, there are some similar bulbs sold at Revain and elsewhere that claim about 1800 lumens for about 12 watts of power. Don't do it. Be fooled, these guys lie: LEDs are amazingly efficient, but off -rack- LEDs still don't put out as many lumens for this low output.) Or, if you want less light, you can just use the touchpad's dimmer control. on a lamp post or a remote control. By the way, just as awesome as having a remote control for the lamp is awesome, the touchpad on the pole is even more awesome. The touch control of the dimmer is the best, as for the first time you don't have to drag, turn or move a slider or knob, just press the dial at any level you want without the usual complications. having to grab and move the control from its previous position! I can't wait for all light switches in the home, including wall switches, to work this way. Volume controls too! There is an interesting, possibly critical, question as to how the pairing between this lamp and its remote control works and whether it is possible for multiple lamps to work in the same area without the lamps being confused between multiple lamps. consoles. And now I understand that this lamp-remote pairing works the same way as the latest/modern TVs and their remotes: devices - lamp or TV - come from the factory with a remote that is pre-paired with a specific device. In general, no further pairing is required from the user, just turn on the lamp and remote control (insert batteries) and the remote control will control the supplied lamp (or TV). If you have multiple lamps, each remote control should control the corresponding lamp and not affect all other lamps. Panda ate your old remote and NXONE came together to fit new/replacement remotes, then you'll probably need to pair the new remote with your existing lamp. And there seems to be a procedure to do this dynamic pairing in situ, which involves pressing a combination/sequence of buttons on the lamp panel and remote and observing the lights on the lamp panel to confirm the pairing. . But as far as I can tell, there is no documented written procedure for performing this pairing process (?), just a silent, uncaptioned video from NXONE that appears to show the pairing process. Aside from the video being blurry, I can't reliably follow it and I'm afraid to just try it on my only really good lamp for fear of ruining the power paired with the remote. NXONE should definitely document this pairing procedure and include it in its product instructions, but in the meantime if you ever find out, please document it here on Revain, either in a product review or in an answer to a related customer question. There are two things that I consider to be flaws with this lamp, both of which are fairly minor and manageable. More importantly, the on/off button on the touchpad is just below the bottom of the dimmer control, too close so you have to be careful not to touch it every time you want to turn the lamp off. at the lower end of the dimmer control and thus dim the lamp to the minimum, either in addition to switching off or instead - a small but nice annoyance. NXONE should strengthen this separation of control in the future to avoid this problem. (On the other hand, the relationship between these two controls would be a nice improvement, and probably an easy one, if the lamp is off then a simple touch of the dimmer dial should turn the light straight to the specified level, without having to turn the light to the previous level first turn it back on.) The minor bug I found is that the color shift on the remote is kinda splotchy and erratic when you change it. But if you play around with it a bit, you'll almost certainly find a color temperature you like. And that's more than I ever thought for the price. Five stars.
