Two major flaws, one good function. Let's start on a positive note: easy to read. That's all. Rest? Poor quality (see picture on the left), needle broke when my oven was on its way to 500F. When he ran, the momentum was huge! It will far exceed the desired value (sometimes more than 100F above the set temperature) before slowly returning to a more accurate value. My physics teacher always told me never trust ONE measuring tool. Instead, take the reading AGAINST another instrument (hence the second thermometer in the picture). I think she was right! By the way, the thermometer on the right is what you need! Bought at the same time and still works perfectly. If I want to stick to my teacher's philosophy of measurement, I know I need to buy another!
