Highly Visible 2.75 Inch Dial Oven Thermometer with Large Numbers for Easy Reading - Hang or Stand in Oven with Hook and Panel Base Review

I received the thermometer about a week ago and have used my oven at least 10 times since then and it only reads 200 degrees each time no matter what setting the oven is on. Guess I have to keep looking. I do not recommend this product.

I'm on cloud nine! I've struggled with the hard to read oven thermostat for far too long. We can't get a replacement oven for the hole we have and the only problem is knowing the "temperature". I knew an accurate and readable thermostat was the answer. I'm so happy with my purchase, I was able to get the right temp and read! Thanks for a great product!

I love this meat thermometer especially for my turkey. It's so easy to use that it contains NO mercury so there's no danger, and the readings are great for those of us who need large fonts to read while cooking. I used to have a mercury thermometer and always wondered if it could break and seep into the flesh, we could get poisoned, but with this easy to use and clean stick thermometer I don't have to worry.

Even though the dial is larger with numbers more visible, I have to be very careful when putting this thermometer in the oven because it will fall through cracks. in the rack with the slightest hit. The base is a very small triangle and so I need to mount it in or on something to give it a broader base for stability. I dug my old one out of the trash and saw that it had a rectangular base spanning the space on the oven shelf. My oversight is that I didn't notice the difference in design.

I bought two thermometers to see how well they were calibrated. It doesn't give high marks because they track perfectly over a wide range of temperatures. They also respond much more quickly than the thermometer they replaced. The reflective area of the dial is much easier to read than the previously coated area.
