Made from a heavy paper material like cardboard but I don't saturate it with paint so it will hold up well. Can it be plastic? Of course I think so. I work with small planes and draw with small complex curves. I have a little problem getting into corners and indentations. I would like a more flexible stencil, but will it be more durable or more resistant to my polish? This probably works best for artists painting large, flat surfaces. But it works pretty well for me. That's to live with, but it works well for my lightly splattered irregular patterns that I'm looking to airbrush. I'm giving 4 stars because there's just no difference in how cheap it is to make this thing and the price you're being cheated out of. Chi-comes, where's your steal when we need it?!
