Iwata Medea Freehand Airbrush Templates Template Review

Fell apart on first attempt at cleaning. Great texture but poor design, it has a thin line around the perimeter that breaks. It's expensive for an application or two and I used water based paint and blotted it very gently with a damp cloth.

It should be noted that they are made of cardboard. It absorbs moisture and begins to deform very easily. The stencil also breaks easily due to the material. I would probably look elsewhere if I knew it was paper. They are too thin and precise to be made out of paper. The price does not reflect the quality.

I am very pleased with the design of this template but there is one very critical flaw which was not clearly stated in the description. This template is not made of plastic but of cardboard. So in the end I was very disappointed with the price ($20) for the box. This definitely has an impact on durability.

I used one of these on a galaxy picture I was painting yesterday. At first I didn't realize how small these templates were. Small. Just because they're considered a "miniseries" doesn't mean they have to be mini. Second, I'm disappointed in the material they're made of. I don't know what it is, but it's thin and looks like coated paper. I thought for the price these stencils would be made out of something more durable. Made from a heavy paper material like cardboard but I don't saturate it with paint so it will hold up well. Can it be plastic? Of course I think so. I work with small planes and draw with small complex curves. I have a little problem getting into corners and indentations. I would like a more flexible stencil, but will it be more durable or more resistant to my polish? This probably works best for artists painting large, flat surfaces. But it works pretty well for me. That's to live with, but it
