They are very easy to set up. You'll need to create an account with Eufy, and it's best to set up the camera with their app first and update the firmware. After that, you can use Apple Home to set up cameras. When using Homekit, you can only use Apple Homekit/Securekit-aligned features. That means 1080p recording/streaming only and no SD card storage. When using Homekit, you're also limited to other advanced camera features. All of this is acceptable to me because that is my purpose. Without Homekit, the cameras are very capable, but safe storage for most people will initially be on an SD card, although there are cloud and NAS storage options. Overall I am very impressed with these cameras.
