Review on ๐Ÿ“ธ Cuddeback Genius Pan Tilt Lock Mount with Universal Adapter and Mounting Screws by Kenneth Bryan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works but can be a tricky setup.

Mine came with clips. Installation requires Torx #20Bit. Take 2 since you'll drop the first one when it gets stuck in the head of one of the adjustment screws and falls to the ground in the weeds. Grab extra torx screws to screw them into the tree in case you drop them too. Soft cameras are heavy, so you need to tighten the adjustment screws when aiming. If it's tight and you start moving the camera to fine tune the angle, the screws will loosen just enough for your camera to move and you'll have to tighten them again. It's very frustrating trying to hang your camera so high on the stairs that thieves can't reach it. Purchase a #20 Torx bit that is 4-5 inches long to hold it in place. This will help you not lose a bit when you are in the forest, you have few options. I want to replace the torx screws with small knobs that I can hand tighten so I don't have to screw in the torx bits. Maybe when this season is over. Also, the torx screws that go into the wood are really sloppy and your bit will want to spin in them once it gets too much resistance. Insert your own deeper Torx screws for a better fit. The Chinese don't care that the screws they supply are only suitable for screwing trees out of chewing gum.

Pros
  • Allows you to mount the surveillance camera higher and position it as needed. Adjustment left or right, up or down is quick and easy.
Cons
  • Negative is available
