Description of 📸 Cuddeback Genius Pan Tilt Lock Mount with Universal Adapter and Mounting Screws

Mounts most brands of trail cameras to a tree or post easily by using screws or a strap (screws included, strap not included). Allows the trail camera to be mounted higher up, and aimed as required. Left or right and up or down adjustments are quick and easy. Cameras slide on and off and can be padlocked (padlock not included). With the Pan Tilt mount you slide the camera off of the mount, check the camera, then slide it back on while retaining the original aim. All metal rugged construction

Working on my jug or cameras with slotted screws on the back.

This is a good rear camera mount, but first you need to do a few things. First, the hole at the bottom of the wood mount is too small for a long tool with a 1/4" adapter. Second, the screws are T-25 torque screws, so find one in your tool box and keep it along with a long tool in your backpack when setting up cameras, hope this helps.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Great price

No longer includes the backup clip

I bought 5 of these mounts last year and they have worked well. The mount I recently purchased is an updated version of one I previously purchased. However, earlier versions included a "lock clip" to secure your Cuddelink camera to the mount; the last one I just ordered didn't. I thought mine was gone so I called Cuddelink support. They informed me they are NOT included anymore and I need to order the locking clip separately. It makes no sense to me to sell a mount that you CANNOT mount your…

It works well BUT it rusts and needs a special tool to adjust it

The concept is good but the material could be a bit heavier and made of a material that does not rust. The Genius mount is a little wobbly in my opinion, so if a squirrel or raccoon is sitting on it, it can change the direction of the camera when taking photos and videos. I was using one of these Cuddeback Genius mounts in my garden and it started rusting after about 10 days. The original mounts that came with the Cuddeback cameras will not rust. Also, you can't use a screwdriver or Phillips…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Good product for camera and photo

Used previous version of this - great concept - works great. Two things: The metal trigger spring will not rust in less than two years. The new version (this one) seems like an improvement - it's better to have a right hand connector to tighten the left/right cam rotation when adjusting (torx/tip guard is the right size) the cam if you want to tighten it. I don't usually wear them on my quad, but I had a few in my truck tool kit for a mile or so. It would be nice if they included a cheap bit…

  • Solid metal construction

Standard strap will not attach to wood

I'm on the Not sure about tongue comments, mine came with them. The mount itself looks nice and the settings work well. The problem is using the standard harness that comes with the Cuddeback cameras to attach it to the tree. All of my cameras have a larger battery, and due to the extra weight and torque created by the extra distance from the tree, the strap that came with the camera breaks before you can tighten it enough to hold the camera. Must come with a strap that works with the mount…

Pros
  • For easy attachment of most brands of trail cameras to a tree or post with screws or straps (screws included, strap not included)
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model

Works but can be a tricky setup.

Mine came with clips. Installation requires Torx #20Bit. Take 2 since you'll drop the first one when it gets stuck in the head of one of the adjustment screws and falls to the ground in the weeds. Grab extra torx screws to screw them into the tree in case you drop them too. Soft cameras are heavy, so you need to tighten the adjustment screws when aiming. If it's tight and you start moving the camera to fine tune the angle, the screws will loosen just enough for your camera to move and you'll…

Pros
  • Allows you to mount the surveillance camera higher and position it as needed. Adjustment left or right, up or down is quick and easy.
Cons
  • Negative is available
