That thing is the bomb!

I am using an old receiver to use the analogue input but I was actually going to use my Onkyo 810 but as ALL new devices don't have these inputs anymore and you really need them if you use them the way I think they do need PC, Xbox 360, Wii U, Laserdisc, DVD players, Shield tape decks, PS2, Xbox 1 and old Teac CD players/recorders and turntables, you can imagine the old 1910 Denon just doesn't have all the inputs has to connect everything to it. Between this new switcher and my old composite switcher that I also have, plus 3 more HDMI inputs per output, I can connect all of these things. I also use pins 1 and 2 to connect the separate HDMI back to my monitor and side B to my home theater's 180 inch big screen so the games I'm playing here can go there to play on the big screen to play. because it comes out of my onkyo switch over there and now it can play games and movies here and there from my computer. As mentioned, I'd love to use my Onkyo here, but without analog inputs and 7.1 outputs, it's difficult to play 90% of the games I have in 5.1/7.1 because you just can't play that audio over HDMI , unless the game is set up like some NFS games and the new Star Wars game so using my sound card's analog-only output on a Denon works great with those inputs, because if not I would on a Crappy sounding speaker set from Logitech that doesn't sound as good as my fully matched DCM KX 12, center, side and rear sets with Polk subwoofer, only thing I find is the great sound plus you can get older ones find good branded receivers with this input for cheap and cheap you don't need 4K or 1440p for that matter. I'm running a 32" Scepter 1080p monitor with a 185Hz refresh rate. Combined with the 5700 xt, my games run lightning fast, smooth as butter, and with this receiver, images shake off walls and smash windows :D I gotta have a hook up some crappy stuff that will work and I'll buy a second one Replace my 3 in 1 out device because with everything I just plugged in I only have one HDMI slot free for future crap like the new Xbox that comes out and the Playstation.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
