I have had this car phone mount for about 5 months now and I love it. I have a 2012 Toyota Highlander and it fits nicely in the air vent to the right of the steering wheel and above the infotainment/radio system. I'm wary of this after reading many reviews before buying - my phone is usually on the mount in portrait mode, but when I want to switch it to landscape mode I rotate the phone and mount it that way. That means I don't turn the mount myself or wear out the threads. I also tilt the mount up a bit and tilt it back so the phone sits securely on the mount and it doesn't add any "heavier weight" except for the vent/dash itself. And as other reviewers have pointed out, I remove it by lifting the left side first (since I'm right-handed). I've also moved it from car to car, especially on vacation, and haven't had any issues with clamps coming loose. It seems very well made and as long as you don't abuse it it will last for a few years.
