I have a great DeWalt random orbital polisher with a 5" velcro closure. That's exactly what I use for this polisher needed to spice up my ride. Since they are the exact diameter I wanted and have the necessary velcro loops, I did not use the included 5" spike pad. 7 foam pads have a waffle pattern on the front except 3, the one 1 black flat surface 1 blue waffle and 2 orange flat face pads are for fine buffing, red and green waffle face pads are for 'medium' buffing and the microfiber cover, wool pad and orange waffle face pad are for "wide use". . I wrote with a marker on the side of the velcro to determine w oh it comes from as there is no mark. They hold up well and are cheap. They can be washed. Using a random orbital polisher helps me avoid swirls and surface damage. I still have to be careful and use a good quality wax pad as improper pressure can damage the finish. They can also be used to apply a "cutting paste" to remove surface haze or very light scratch damage, some deep.
