Review on 🔧 Briggs & Stratton 594601 Carb by Young Toulson

This was a direct replacement for the original troublesome Nikki carburetor on my mother's lawn mower engine. The Nikki has a lousy design: the plastic lower half is connected to the aluminum carburettor body by a float chamber. The engine was humming and wouldn't keep a constant rpm so I cleaned and overhauled the carburetor which only helped temporarily before it became unreliable again. This carburetor is machined from a single piece of aluminum, eliminating the need for a complex gasket between two dissimilar materials. The only thing I had to change was to cut the fuel hose about 1/2 inch since the fuel inlet makes a bend instead of sticking out straight. After installing a new carburettor, the engine ran perfectly again. and needs to be restored, it will be much easier to maintain.
