You may need them, but look for lightbulbs that don't need them.
These adapters were a real hassle to install on my 2015 Veloster. The instructions are pretty much useless. The assembly method isn't obvious at all, and using a rubber O-ring to hold the OEM adapter and snap it together leaves a soft, rubbery joint that barely works. Because of this, the correct orientation of the lamps is random. I expect to reset the lights once it gets dark and I can see the true light pattern. Not recommended.
