Review on 🎵 Ortofon OM 20 Replacement Stylus by Joe Jordan

All reviews about the sound are true. Here's my story: I have an old linear tracking turntable and a P-mount OM 10 cartilage that's almost 40 years old. About 2 years ago I decided to go back to vinyl and put the OM on one of my used line tracking turntables that I bought for £50 each. For other line tracing I have a Grado P mount. My original SL-7 was beyond repair so I found 2 spares just in case they don't work. Okay, they might not be as good as the SL-7 but they still work well. I replaced the OM stylus with ProS as it was compressed and curved. I sounded good but the ProS stylus is rated for 2-2.5g downforce and the turntable can only give 1.25-1.75g. I also have a Fluance RT-80 paired with a Shure M95Xe/AT-N95e and Grado Black. Shure, of course, will blow everything away. However, my other linear tracking turntable with Grado GC is almost as good, albeit with slightly less detail, and it's 40 year old cartilage. After doing some research comparing OM 10 and 20 and also knowing that ProS is not used optimally, I finally settled on 200 shells and see what result I get. I put on the stylus as soon as I had the chance, started playing with it and was pleasantly surprised, the detail rivals the Shure, sounds better than the Grado GC and delivers amazing detail and stage gifts. It took first place in my cartilage collection, overtaking Shure. The only thing I wanted was to lower the price a bit to the level of the eBay listing.
