These are designed for the rear I/O panel of a desktop PC that does not have additional plastic or aluminum connectors. Stick them in the corks and they stay in place. I gave them 2 stars for 'easy to remove' which is a good thing. The back of a PC is not a tribute to fashion. Laptops, mostly, to be honest, are there. Laptops need as much shock protection as possible without looking silly. As a result, their USB ports are recessed, and therefore, on some laptops, these connectors don't fully insert. They work great with the Carbon X1, but that has to do with its design.
