The crimping tool was great for setting barbs and even a plug so I could thread the cut tube into my frame. Some people complain about the jiggle required to ensure the double ended crimping tool is fully seated, or it jiggles like crazy. It also clamps the brake hose with the required force without slipping. The cutting tools work very well, I cut 6 lines with no dullness or problems. However, it would be nice to know where I can purchase replacement blades if needed. You should have a straight cutting tool handy, a straight cut is essential to avoid leaking at the ends of the fittings.
