My 2011 Honda Pilot has a seven pin round trailer harness connector. The trailer I wanted to pull had four spade terminals. Bought for $10 and it works like a charm. Seven plugs on a standard sized vehicle and four spade plugs on a trailer, so installation is not a problem. The connector cover on the vehicle snaps into place and holds it in place. The adapter has indicators that show that the connection is possible. They blink when you check each blinker etc. Note, however, that theoretically someone could steal the adapter while you're parked somewhere. Simply unplug from the vehicle and trailer wiring harness. But they should really need it and know where to look. It's black so it tucks into the bumper etc so you don't accidentally notice it but if someone was looking for it on purpose it doesn't attach to the car or trailer wiring harness. For the same reason, I also remove it when I'm not towing anything. But it works as advertised. No problem!
