Many of these locking and coupling snap connectors have been in use for many years. The beauty is that you literally need no tools to install already stripped wires. These are finger tight connectors. Of course you'll need to strip the ends of the wires you plan to use for locks and faucets. But after your wire ends are stripped, just use your fingers to tighten the ends. You stick the wire through the end of the plastic fastener/socket. And screw it in, making sure the wire touches the conductor inside. Posi Locks essentially replace the traditional crimp butt connector. For example, you can use a posi-lock when you need to cut a wire and lengthen it. Or the application I use my position locks to cut some of the wires on my bike to run in the turn signal bar after removing the stem. And position couplers are really handy for finding an extra power wire that you can plug power into when the key is on and no power when the key is off. I always keep a few extras on hand in my motorcycle tool bag in case I or someone else is stuck with a wiring issue. They can be used with minimal tools to fix a wire or connect to something else.
