Better than you'd expect for $40. No, this isn't full-grain leather, but what you get is very well put together and pleasing to the eye, and it feels good too. Good basic hardware makes the drawer and lid easy to open, they appear to cost more than their retail value. It's nice to have something other than beige as the interior color, deep brown is pleasing to the eye.
