Excellent for both storing and operating a significant quantity of software. Even on an older PC, though, I would not recommend using it as your primary operating system. I paid 5880 dollars for it, and I believe that for that price it is an outstanding option. Some pros: Normal reading speed, the inclusion of a dram buffer, low heating, an affordable price per terabyte, and a trustworthy and well-established manufacturer are all desirable qualities. Contains drawbacks: after the SLC cache is depleted, the write speed reduces to 80 Mb/s, which means that it is unsuitable for use in video editing software.
