Suitable for diabetic cats

My cat recently developed diabetes and my vet recommended that I only feed her Fancy Feast. Before his visit to the vet, I fed my cat Purina "NATURALS", which caused diabetes. While Purina claims NATURALS is 38% protein, most of the protein comes from wheat gluten and corn. A cat's natural diet is meat. However, if you start feeding your cat too many carbohydrates and the cat starts to gain weight, you can expect diabetes just like humans. Therefore, this NUTRIENCE NATURAL cat food is a good choice if you want to feed your cat a healthy, grain-free, high-protein diet. The nutritional content is 80% protein (no horse meat or vegetables) and 20% low GI vegetables. (Low glycemic index veggies don't require insulin to break down, while high glycemic index foods like wheat gluten or corn do.) I like knowing my cat is getting some veggies, vitamins, and volume. The food of this world is of no use to your cat if it doesn't pass your cat's taste test. Well my little buddy likes, no LOVES the taste. When I first brought NUTRIENCE home, I had a package inside after unpacking it from the shipping boxes. I looked for my cat to show her her "surprise". When I got back into the living room, he kind of bit and chewed through the aluminum bag. He's always two steps ahead of me! Last comment This food is packed in a thick aluminum bag with velcro, it stays fresh and doesn't spill.
