If you buy an all purpose thread at your local sewing store that is sized and shaped to Coats & Clark 250 yard thread (or I think 150 yards) fits yards of the same size), this is probably disappointing. Putting the coils on their side gives you a lot of extra space - you can fit almost two in one place, but that's not enough. The case is also literally millimeters shorter to allow the coils to fit in the box - you can put the coil in the center of the case as the plastic flexes enough, but that's not what it was designed for. . So I think this is wasting a lot of space. I could carve some walls.
