My son has autism and I have these to help him narrow some things. I like that there are different timers. So I started with the least time for certain activities and then gradually increased the time. For example. We sit together every night and have dinner with the whole family. Everyone should stay at the table at least until the last one finishes eating (we stay longer just chatting), my son who plays the Spectrum finds it hard for him so after eating he prefers to just walk out - to the table. So I started with a 3 minute timer and after he finishes eating he should flip his timer and be able to leave once the sand is gone. We then came up with a 5 minute timer, which is a good amount of time after which it goes away. He likes the fact that he can see different colors of sand etc. Overall it was a good buy for my situation.
