At first the parts didn't fit well together I had to use a hammer to drive the center bolts through the bars and plastic and then it was really difficult To get the bolts to seat properly since the holes are countersunk I had to put a nut over the bolt and hit it really hard with a hammer to get it in place and some of them took a few tries and wasted much time. Another big time waster is packing nuts and bolts. I'm pretty sure this was designed by a masochist. Be prepared to spend up to half an hour removing bits of plastic, even with scissors or a razor, and then trim off any excess plastic that's stuck to it after you've removed them. I've also found that the handles that attach them to the roof rails loosen over time, I've used zip ties around them to keep them from coming loose, and you can even drill a locking pin in instead of zip ties. Something that was never considered by the manufacturer. For that they look great and are quite durable, and the price is right.
