I don't know what happened to Von Der Hagen but they appear to have dropped their best product, their GLYCERINE SHAVING SOAP which was orange in color and had a wonderful clean fresh scent. On the other hand, this new white "scented shaping soap" doesn't fare nearly as well, not only in terms of smoothness, but also in terms of bumps and ingrown hairs. The GLYCERINE SHAVING SOAP they *used* to sell (which is now very hard to find) has never left a single ingrown hair or razor wart on my face. But after one shave with that greasy, oily "Scented Shave Soap" they now make, I ended up with 3 painful razors and about 10 lousy ingrown hairs, all because it's loaded with oily moisturizers and stuff. making it too dirty for a man's face. Not only that, it has a very odd milky, lemony undertone that I don't really like, so I'll probably just send these washers back for a refund! Buyer warning! If you can find it, Von Der Hagen GLYCERINE SHAVING SOAP is THE BEST I've ever used from them. Don't buy anything else!
