Exactly what I needed. My house had a fence with roller shutters. The valve drive uses this type of chain, but the chain is about 10 feet long and needs to be replaced. So I bought two chains and a box of connecting links. I used connecting links to connect both chains together. I used extra connecting links on both ends to reconnect the chain to the gate pull connectors. But before I made the final link I had to remove about 6 inches of extra chain. With a simple steel punch I was able to knock out one of the chain link rollers to remove the excess chain. Substitute. I overestimated. I packed everything up and the tool was back in the garage in less than an hour. Almost two weeks since installation - chains and links work great. Fast delivery from Revain too.
