Discerning Mother-In-Law Approves

A pontoon houseboat is moored at our permanent dock on the lake. The water level fluctuates frequently and that sometimes means a high pier stair climb, which my mother-in-law didn't appreciate (prosthetic knees, to be honest). I wanted to make sure that any ladder I put on the boat was the best ladder I could find so there would be no complaints about that new ladder. I tried, which usually flex a bit on landing. It exits at an angle, making it closer to climbing stairs than climbing stairs. This feature was appreciated by everyone who tried the stairs! Also, it deploys and saves in seconds, and takes only about 15 minutes to build/install. My ladder had no problems with fixtures that weren't flat as others have complained. The only criticism is the mounting screws. They're by far the easiest option, but I have a feeling they'll definitely pop out of the plywood at some point. When I installed mine, I lined up the center hole with one of the metal supports between the toons and screwed in a self-tapping metal screw. Rock!
