Does NOT work to send laptop images to monitor. Check specifications. Non-bidirectional

Bought to connect my laptop to a Dell monitor. Not the seller's fault, but the cable doesn't send a signal in that direction (ie the HDMI end in a laptop doesn't send output to the display/port end in a monitor). My fault is that I didn't read the specs more carefully I guess. Reading it again, it becomes clear that the display is moving in the other direction. Pay attention to the information "male" and "female". It probably works great on the right hardware, which is why I gave it 5 stars.

Pros

The end of the DisplayPort has latches to ensure a stable connection between the video cable and the laptop; To disconnect the cable, FIRST press the tab on the connector
