Update 2: I received a replacement from Revain and am using it on the same MacBook Pros, Airs and iMacs as before. This is still a solid stone after 3 days of use. Difference day/day to the first. There are no failures at all. I first tested it on the included exFat, then on APFS and installed a boot system on it. Extremely fast read/write speed of 2700-2800MB/s. I'll post another update if it breaks again, but so far things are looking much better. Upgrade to 5 stars depending on replacement. We all know that faulty devices pop up from time to time, so hopefully this was just a rare occurrence. Update 1: The hard drive is already dead. I used it for probably a total of an hour in 3 sessions. I haven't plugged it in for about a week and it no longer mounts or shows up in Disk Utility. I mean nothing. Zero. Nada. A small white LED lights up when plugged in, but that's about it. I am very tech savvy and have tried 4 different Macs from 2018-2021. I'm getting a replacement, but so far I'm not very impressed. First Review: So far I'm seeing a mount failure when I plug it in occasionally and frequent disconnects from the 5 MacBook Pro Intel/M1 I've plugged it into. It works, but it doesn't seem to be as durable as I expected. And when it works, it's fast. I'll update in a week or so and do more testing. Thank goodness/Jeff for Revane Prime and easy return if needed.
