Review on πŸ”§ Semi-Automatic Adhesive Dispenser Controller for Efficient Operations by Michael Hughes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great solder paste dispenser but beware you will need additional parts

standard 982A clone. They are rated for 120v (most aren't) and seem to be well made internally (proper grounding, they include fuses which I have checked and they have true 120v transformers instead of 240 with center tap and extra flying around Wire). ). However, the first one I got had a 0 ohm short on the 12V side of the transformer, presumably in the winding. The fuse blew immediately and no further damage was done. I switched it to a new one and it works great. Since the fault is internal to the transformer and not related to the design of the circuit, I will not cover it. However, note the following: 1) This includes 6mm hoses on the inlet, which is uncommon in 120v countries. I used a 3/16" fitting and flame to adjust it. The quick connector is unusable in the US, so just cut it off. 2) The included dispenser adapter works ONLY with 30ml dispensers. cm, and NOT with standard dispensers for 10 cc. pastes. Too bad they don't pack the 10cc piece. Unfortunately, adapters in the USA are either very expensive or have to be sent from Asia with a long delivery time. You can, however, squeeze solder paste into the included 30ml containers and use an adapter, although it's not the most elegant solution.

Pros
  • Precise control of drop dispensing and dispensing cycle; Two control modes: manual mode and semi-automatic mode.
Cons
  • weak
