I bought these type of bits with a slot cutter attached for a different profile. Nice that you didn't have to do an extra pass for the Groove Groove. Basically, they work just like any other 2-piece door bit. Once you've marked the profile you'll need to set up your table saw to cut off the back of the handrails and cross bar and these pieces can be reused after the glass is installed to give the back of the door a more finished look. I did this two ways: by simply using silicone to set the jar in place, or by taking the cut pieces and using nail clippers to attach the cut pieces and hold the jar in place. The bits are still sharp and I built a poplar (painted), oak and maple kitchen with these bits. No complaints, a great addition to the collection.
