Review on πŸ–ŒοΈ Akashiya Fude Brush Pen Sai Thin Line Set of 5 Colors (TL300/VA) by Summer Hendricks

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Rhapsody in five colors

bought these guns for a slimmer alternative to the Pentel Pocket Brush Pen - they are, if not very, waterproof, if not quite to the same level of bristle or ink quality. I worked more slowly with these pens unless I needed a more streaky drybrush effect. It's not that they're below standard - in fact, they're superior! only slight signs of wear and dryness after about 4 months of use and I'm god knows sloppier than the average art student. they have a certain firmness that makes their lines less choppy than my Pentel; These pens give you better control of finer lines, but lose some of the versatility, volatility, and glide that I love about Pentels. They are stunningly attractive in design. and I love that I get 4 additional shades for the lining besides the black as it allows me to dial down the color and tone. See also: absolutely amazing price. can't believe they aren't more popular. You can even use them like Kuretake's water-soluble brush pens - dilute with water and apply like watercolor. However, the results are a bit rough. Addendum: My father, a fairly famous Chinese calligrapher, was modestly impressed with her ability to write letters. will arrive soon.
