Review on πŸ“± MMOBIEL Magnetic Car Phone Mount - Compatible with iPhone, Samsung and More - Air Vent Holder Dashboard - 360-Degree Rotation - Hands-Free Travel Cell Phone Holder by Mark Harris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I finally found the perfect phone holder!

My car just doesn't have room to mount a mobile phone. The air vent mount is really my only option, and I've used the clam shell type in the past, where you slip your phone in and clamp it between two sliding mounts. I really didn't like them because it took two hands to lock the phone and pick it up. With this mount I just attach the phone to the magnet and that's it. As a bonus, while the clamshell was completely blocking the vent, I can still get air out of that vent by pushing this very small mount into the vent as far as I can. But here are three details of my situation that may not match yours. I live in Southern California and can count on one hand how many times a year I use my car heater. Tape a cell phone to an air vent and then turn on the heater is useless. Also, I use a fairly solid charging case and when I tried to put a metal plate in the case between the case and the phone, the magnet wasn't strong enough to hold the phone. But since the case and the metal plate are both black, I just glued it to the back of the case. If there is a photo of your boobs on the back of your suitcase, it will not be very attractive. Finally, just by luck in the placement of my car stereo, the aux jack is right below my phone. I cut the wires from the headphone plug, plugged the plug into the aux jack, giving the phone a little quiet. I used the mount for about a month before I came up with this brilliant idea and not once did my phone fall off the mount but it gives me a little more peace of mind. One reviewer wrote that the magnet is so strong it knocks the mount off. I had this problem until I realized that four attachment prongs create two different widths. I simply rotated the mount 45 degrees and pressed against the vent. Since then the mount has never come off the phone.
