Really fun toy for all ages although I recommend not letting your 3 year old play with the remote too much :) The moon needs AA batteries and The remote accepts AAA, so we made the extra trip to charge, plugged it in and everything worked great. Nice to see the different stages of the moon. It glows with a bluish tint that is beautiful in contrast to yellow. It was very easy to hang on my son's wall and is now his night light as it turns itself off after 30 minutes whether it's on or not. There's a manual setting where you can "scroll" the moon's cycles, or an automatic setting where it does it by itself. Both settings will be disabled after this time. This is one of the items that a 3 year old or older child can enjoy. It's just better to keep the pieces away from the smallest ones. It reached us within a week, which made us very happy. Definitely recommend this neat item to everyone.
