NO charging dock - just extra USB ports for your computer

It's fine. Adds 3 USB ports to my computer 1 port is dead. Transferring data. Charges 1 phone or tablet - slowly and not simultaneously. The design matches my MacBook, but the slanted top sticks out and can get in the way. Flat like a flash drive would probably be more flexible. I rarely need 2 USB ports as many external devices use Wi-Fi or BlueTooth so I only use them for my thumb and external hard drive. I made the mistake of not understanding what I bought. I think what I wanted is called a charging station? I wanted to tuck all of the USB ports behind my nightstand so I didn't have to bend down to plug all of my devices into a surge protector on the floor between furniture. This isn't what I was looking for. It is simply connected to a laptop via USB. Even when I added the power adapter, none of my devices charged fast, although my iPhone ended up charging very slowly. My iPhone beeps that it's constantly charging, so I'm assuming that connector is also shorted. I thought it was a cable but it's nowhere to be found. This seller never claimed to sell a charging station; I just didn't understand what I bought. That's why Radio Shack was helpful. The guy from Radio Shack asked what you WANT to do. The customer does not have to be an expert, it is simply possible.

Pros
  • Instantly add four USB 3.0 ports to any compatible device
Cons
  • Modern
