This Wi-Fi range extender works, I think it's ok if it's your only option. But I will write about my experiences. Installation and setup weren't that difficult; I was able to install it either way from the 3 options known in the comments section (I didn't have to use the secret unannounced one). What really annoyed me was the drop in performance in terms of internet speed. I have decent fast internet coming from a hard ethernet line from my modem. Even if this range extender was within 5 feet of my modem with no obstructions, it would drop my internet speed from 150MB/s to 10MB/s. If you have a big house, my only recommendation would be to just buy another router or a more powerful router and plug the router into the first router. It's just plug and play. Don't waste time trying to get a range extender to work. This is not specific to this product, just my experience. I have a big old house. 2600 mΒ², 2 floors. Older homes sometimes use chicken wire in the walls, so it interferes with WiFi. Maybe that was the problem. I'm happy with two powerful routers providing WiFi throughout the house with limited speed loss.
