Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Disconano Waterproof Multi-Function Excursion Cycling Bike Rear Trunk Bag with Rainproof Cover - Carrying Luggage Package Rack Panniers by Kevin Taharka

Poor design works best for bike racks and bags

While this bag is made of good quality material and looks good, it has some serious design flaws that make it unsuitable for ordinary cyclists. .The biggest problem is that the expandable side pockets are only held in place by a single horizontal seam line, resulting in structural weaknesses. This can easily happen while riding if the side pocket gets snagged or caught on something. And since the side bags are attached to the bag (and your bike!) exclusively with these stitches, the entire bag gets ripped off the bag and thrown onto the street, along with its contents. Another design flaw has been mentioned by others. The bag attaches to the luggage rack with two Velcro straps on the underside of the bag. Not only is this likely to be insufficient, but it also means you'll have trouble getting on and off with rear fenders. (At least for me) Another design flaw that I noticed is that the top handle is only attached to the top of the bag. This means that when you carry the bag by the handle, your entire weight is on the zipper. It also makes it difficult to open the bag and access its contents without lowering it. The bag comes with a strap that attaches to the sides so this is not a major flaw. I would not recommend this bag to cyclists unless the expandable side pockets have been modified to compensate for structural weaknesses. Two other problems can be circumvented.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
