Review on Black Zoo Med Aqua Cool Aquarium Cooling Fan: Enhancing Efficient Temperature Control by Kate Windish

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didn't expect much but I was satisfied

Personally, I've seen mixed reviews for this product and was a bit hesitant to buy it, but I needed an easy way to cool my 10 gallon aqueon. Room temperature can be a little humid (50 RH) and is usually between 70 and 80. My water temp has always been in the 80 range and slightly higher for my shrimp. I bought it hoping to drop the temp a few degrees. I can feel a slight breeze when I turn it on and I didn't think it would affect the temperature at all. The noise it emits is tolerable, which is what you would expect from a small desktop fan. But I decided to let this product work for a few days and I've noticed that the temperature drops a bit day by day. I wasn't expecting much but a drop of 4-5 degrees was what I was hoping for and definitely lived up to my expectations. I use the Inkbird app monitor to log my tank temperature data (dark blue) and room temperature data (light blue). The screenshot shows my results for 3 days of using the product.
