Not quite, but not loud

I was careful when ordering as this item looks like a cheap fake on ebay. Make no mistake, it still feels cheap, but not crappy cheap. It has a movable nozzle so you can adjust the airflow. The only downside is a LARGE suction cup, not two small suction cups and an on/off switch that is too small. Otherwise it's pretty useful and my tank dropped 1 degree, which isn't much but makes a difference.

Doesn't blow much for aquarium pumps and filters

The supplied fan is too weak to significantly affect the temperature in the aquarium. Or maybe the design of the blower loses too much resistance. When it is on and you put your hand on the exhaust nozzle, you can hardly feel a small flow of air. Also, it's a bit noisy. If they would just spend a few bucks more and get a better quality, quieter fan with better performance, this would be a good product. Maybe I'll wrap it up with a better fan. Good idea, bad execution. In that respect I would…

A bit noisy but works great! Especially for tanks with lids!

I used it to cool my axolotl tank from 70 degrees to 66 degrees! I have a 29 gallon tank with an all black cap, so most of the fans recommended for the Axi don't work for me. I have a naughty cat so I need a fan that works with a sturdy cover. The fan outlet is small and only goes through a gap at the top where the filter fits. It doesn't generate super strong currents (the power is adjustable so you can gently blow on the water surface) and for the price a temperature drop of 4 degrees is…

Happy axolotls! Fits filter accessory

I have a small 10 gallon axolotl tank that, despite my best efforts to keep the tank in good condition with frozen water bottles, reached 70 degrees in the summer. This fan was my only viable option and it works well. This fan constantly lowers the water temperature by 3-5 degrees Fahrenheit. My biggest concern with this fan would be the potential for noticeable water movement, but the air slides easily over the top and doesn't bother the axolotl. I could complain about the noise but to be…

Cooling my Betta

It's more than you think. The fans are very weak but help cool my betta tanks adequately. I have glass lids on my tanks, but these fans are adjustable so you can customize them to suit your setup. They'll only get you down 3 or 4 degrees after many hours (at least 6). I use them on two 7 gallon tanks (approx). I leave the heaters at 80 and run the fans. Turning off the heat makes my betta tank too cold at 76 degrees in a hot living room. My advice: run them the first time you are at home and…

I didn't expect much but I was satisfied

Personally, I've seen mixed reviews for this product and was a bit hesitant to buy it, but I needed an easy way to cool my 10 gallon aqueon. Room temperature can be a little humid (50 RH) and is usually between 70 and 80. My water temp has always been in the 80 range and slightly higher for my shrimp. I bought it hoping to drop the temp a few degrees. I can feel a slight breeze when I turn it on and I didn't think it would affect the temperature at all. The noise it emits is tolerable, which is

Cheap, effective, happy fish!

I have two axolotls that were relocated after a poor placement with the previous owner. I had to do a quick setup when the local store asked if I would take it. I have many starter tanks, but I haven't noticed Axey and a chiller that meets their needs in years. However, I quickly jumped onto Revain for an inexpensive alternative to keep the aquarium cool while recovering. Zoo Med's fan was a great solution. Without heating, my tanks hang at about 72 degrees. Too warm for our beloved Axeys. But…
