This is the second training collar we have purchased for our Beagle. A few months. It was a pain to set it up and keep working. He ate batteries like candy. We bought it as it had better reviews and was actually cheaper. Our beagle pup doesn't go into shock but ringing first then humming works very well on her. The thing is rechargeable, so there's no battery failure here. Installed almost immediately, no problems. The control unit is easy to understand and navigate. I can't say how long it will last, but it looks solid. And yes, the instructions are really good. Yes we were offered a deal to write a review but I wouldn't write if I didn't believe in the product.
