Review on Yomikoo Interface 1998 2002 1998 2004 Highlander by Mike Krzywicki

I just installed it but I'm giving it 2 stars because it's listed as compatible with my car and it actually isn't. Maybe I'll give it another star if it works really well from now on. I purchased a 5+7 pin adapter as listed which is compatible with my 2001 Toyota RAV4. After installing it, I found that I get a loud, low-pitched hum every time I plug something into the AUX cable. It didn't matter if it was my phone, the bluetooth kit, or the ground loop isolator, they all buzzed when plugged in. Obviously it wasn't a ground loop issue as it didn't depend on whether the device was connected to AUX or if it was connected to a power supply or anything else. I saw P. Truslow's review on this product and it helped me solve the problem. I'll go through the steps in more detail than he did to save others the trouble. As P. Truslow explained, the problem is that the AUX ground is not connected to the analog ground. disassemble into pieces before finding the screws) 2) Carefully disconnect the ground wire (black) (you can unplug it for this) and place it in the analog ground position next to the other two wires. 3) Lock it again!
