CD quality sound without having to replace the entire stereo

Installation was easy enough for my 2001 Tacoma. Patience is the key to removing the front panel cover. After installing the module on the back of the main unit, I routed the cables to the cigarette lighter sockets and connected them to a flush mount adapter with USB and AUX ports (available from Revain). The included card reader is a nice touch, but I found the plastic a bit too tight to fit a full-size SD card without worrying about the plastic breaking - although the micro SD works fine and…

sounds fantastic after correcting a wiring error in the block, originally sounded horrible

Out of the box the sound was fantastic except there was horrible glitching whenever the machine was turned on. I could hear everything from the alternator to the fuel pump to the AC blower which to me indicated a grounding issue as the problem only occurred when the device was plugged in but it could have been any device. The system uses balanced audio, but the 3.5mm jacks are not balanced. To avoid noise, the device must have a separate analog ground. When disassembled, the 3.5mm jack ground…

Not compatible with 2001 Toyota RAV4 as listed, modification required

I just installed it but I'm giving it 2 stars because it's listed as compatible with my car and it actually isn't. Maybe I'll give it another star if it works really well from now on. I purchased a 5+7 pin adapter as listed which is compatible with my 2001 Toyota RAV4. After installing it, I found that I get a loud, low-pitched hum every time I plug something into the AUX cable. It didn't matter if it was my phone, the bluetooth kit, or the ground loop isolator, they all buzzed when plugged in.
